Remember the comic strip Cathy? The All-American Women who could do it all...well, with a little help from her Mom. Here is a vintage mug from 1983 that I found at the Goodwill. After my The Far Side mug did so well I hope that this mug does equally as well. Would have been perfect for Mother's Day too bad I did not find it sooner.
Also, I found a rather large collection of Little Golden Books including two mini My First Little Golden Books from the 80's, many first editions from the 70's until 2004. I just listed them on eBay last night and I already have gotten a bid. Happy!
Here are the beautiful Italian Coasters I spoke about on my last post in the original box from the 60's or 70's. I haven't listed them yet...tempted to keep them for myself. Picked them up for I think $4 and they sold in the past on eBay for $40.
Thank you for checking out my items and please leave some comments about the items or my blog. Can't wait to check out everyone's shares.
Happy Thrifting,
Jenn
I've always loved Cathy! Saw you at Her Library Adventures blog party! You did well this week! I love the Italian coasters. Are they glass or Melamine? I have Italian Melamine mini trays that I love.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jeanne!!!!!! You are my very first comment ever! They are porcelain and to be honest I hesitated calling them coaster even though that is what the tag on the bottom says. I have a love of Italian items especially for the kitchen. I have several items on top of my cabinets that have an italian look and a candle sitting on my counter that is a reproduction of that famous poster that has an italian clown/mime with a plate of Spaghetti that says Pates Baron. Love Cathy, have much more appreciation for the comic now then I did in '83 even though I read it every Sunday. Any pictures of the Italian Trays, I would love to see? Also do you have a blog or web site I can add to my blog list?
ReplyDeleteThank you from the bottom of my heart for my very first post!
